The Writer's Triumphant Return

Trusted Reader, I did not perish in Prague. Though I did scuttle all over Europe for a few sweaty weeks this past summer, and then when I returned I buried myself in the task of writing a novel and completely abandoned blogging. LIKE A FOOL!

But fear not, I have returned! And I have a story here and a flash fiction here and a poem here. And more to come, shortly.

I must catch a bus now. More soon, son.

Welcome back! You've been missed.

Jeez, that short story is dark. (This from a fan of Kafka.) I guess there's no lottery where Rusty and Karen live? I was also a bit confused as to why he let Karen off so easy; I expected Rusty would blame her for ruining his life with those sub-standard kids.

Excited to hear you're working on a novel. Care to tease us with some minor details?

Thanks for reading! The novel is a good old-fashioned story of rural America, with a touch of darkness here and there, just to keep it spicy. I'm hoping to finish this current draft very soon.
